What Purgo Does

Purgo connects to your email account (Gmail or Outlook) to read new incoming emails, summarize them using AI, and deliver those summaries to your WhatsApp. You can reply to summaries on WhatsApp, and Purgo will draft and send a professional email on your behalf.

Data We Collect

  • Your email address and account credentials (stored securely via OAuth 2.0)
  • Your WhatsApp phone number
  • Email metadata (sender, subject) and content of new incoming emails for summarization
  • Your reply messages sent via WhatsApp for drafting email responses
  • Your preferences (email style, signature, skip rules)

How We Use Your Data

  • To summarize your emails and deliver summaries to WhatsApp
  • To draft and send email replies on your behalf
  • To apply your skip rules and preferences
  • We do not use your data for advertising
  • We do not sell your data to third parties

Data Storage and Security

Email content is processed in real-time for summarization and is not permanently stored on our servers. OAuth tokens are stored securely in our database. We use HTTPS for all data transmission and follow industry-standard security practices.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide Purgo:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — for email summarization and reply drafting
  • Meta WhatsApp Business API — for delivering summaries and receiving replies
  • Google Gmail API — for reading emails and sending replies
  • Supabase — for secure data storage and authentication
  • Vercel — for hosting

Google API Limited Use Disclosure

Purgo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Gmail data to provide the user-facing features described above. We do not transfer Gmail data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service.

Your Rights

  • You can disconnect your email account at any time from the Dashboard
  • You can request deletion of all your data by contacting us
  • You can revoke Purgo's access to your Google account from your Google Account settings
